Epson SureColor T7770DL Specifications
The Epson SureColor T7770DL is a 44-inch large-format printer for CAD, technical, and graphics work. Its hardware is print-only, with no integrated scanner, copier, or fax section. Printing comes from a 2.64-inch PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead. The head carries 9,600 nozzles, arranged as 1,600 nozzles for each of six colours. UltraChrome XD3 pigment ink feeds from 1.6 L bulk packs in photo black, matte black, cyan, magenta, yellow, and red.
Maximum print resolution reaches 2,400 x 1,200 dpi. The smallest ink droplet is 3.5 pl, giving the head finer control on line and colour work. A1 or D-size technical prints can finish in as little as 16 seconds. For technical drawings, production speed reaches more than 1,400 square feet per hour. Graphics output is slower, at up to 300 square feet per hour. Built-in memory is 4 GB, and the printer language set covers HP-GL/2, HP RTL, Adobe PostScript 3, and PDF 1.7.
Media loading uses two roll positions. The second roll can also serve as a take-up reel, which helps on longer roll jobs. Roll paper and cut sheets load through separate paths. Glossy media, technical paper, bond paper, matte paper, and specialty media are listed for this model. Rigid posterboard can be used up to 1.5 mm thick. Borderless printing works only on selected widths, including 10, 13, 16, 17, 20, 24, 36, 40.5, and 44 inches.
Front operation runs through a configurable 4.3-inch touchscreen. A direct computer connection can use SuperSpeed USB 3.0. Network jobs can run through Gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi, with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless support. Storage depth is 19.64 inches. With the basket open for printing, depth extends to 32.63 inches.
