Epson L3230 Specifications

The Epson L3230 is an EcoTank A4 multifunction inkjet for printing, scanning, and copying, with no fax hardware in the listed configuration. Printing comes from an Epson Micro Piezo head carrying 180 black nozzles and 59 nozzles for each colour. The refillable tanks take 103-series dye ink in black, cyan, yellow, and magenta. Above the paper path, a flatbed CIS scanner handles originals, while the button panel keeps operation screen-free.

Maximum print resolution reaches 5,760 x 1,440 dpi, and variable-sized droplet technology brings the smallest droplet to 3 pl. ISO speed runs at 10 ppm in monochrome and 5 ppm in colour. Draft output is listed at 33 monochrome pages per minute and 15 colour pages per minute. For photos, the reference size is 10 x 15 cm. That print takes about 27 seconds on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper.

Scanning records 600 x 1,200 dpi optical detail from the flatbed, while A4 scan timing at 200 dpi is 11 seconds in black or 32 seconds in colour. Paper feeds from one rear tray with a 100-sheet standard capacity, and printed pages collect in a 30-sheet output tray. Borderless printing reaches up to 10 x 15 cm, and two-sided output relies on manual duplexing.

Paper sizes cover A4, A5, A6, B5, Letter, Legal, 13 x 18 cm, 10 x 15 cm, 16:9 wide paper, user-defined sizes, and C6, DL, or number 10 envelopes. A computer connects through USB only, because Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Ethernet are not part of the listed hardware. Closed dimensions are 375 x 347 x 179 mm. The listed weight is 3.9 kg, and standalone copying draws about 14 W.
