Epson M2050 Specifications
The Epson M2050 is an EcoTank monochrome multifunction ink tank printer for printing, scanning, and copying. Its black-only print system uses a PrecisionCore printhead with two rows of 400 black nozzles. Bi-directional operation lets the head print on both passes. DURABrite ET pigment black ink feeds from Epson 005 bottles, with 005S listed as the standard-capacity bottle. The flip-up control panel carries a 3.65 cm colour LCD, and the scanner section combines a flatbed with an automatic document feeder.
Print resolution reaches 1,200 x 2,400 dpi. Variable-sized droplet technology sets the minimum droplet volume at 2.8 pl. Black document output runs at 18 ipm in ISO mode. Draft A4 text reaches 33 ppm. Scanning comes from a CIS sensor with 1,200 dpi optical resolution. The flatbed accepts originals up to 216 x 297 mm, and a 200 dpi scan takes 12 seconds in monochrome or 28 seconds in colour.
Paper enters through a rear feed with room for 100 A4 plain sheets. Printed pages collect in a 30-sheet A4 output tray. For document scanning, the automatic document feeder takes up to 30 A4 originals in simplex mode. Standard paper sizes include A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, Letter, Legal, Indian-Legal, and 16K. Photo sizes are listed separately. Envelopes use number 10, DL, or C6 formats. Custom sheets can extend to 215.9 x 1,200 mm, with supported paper weight from 64 to 90 g/m².
A nearby computer can connect through Hi-Speed USB. Network printing can run through Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, or 10/100 Ethernet. Mobile printing is listed through Epson Smart Panel, Epson Email Print, Remote Print Driver, AirPrint, Mopria, and Chrome OS. The body measures 375 x 347 x 237 mm and weighs 5.0 kg. A replaceable maintenance box remains part of the serviceable hardware. Standalone copying draws about 14 W during operation.
