Epson EcoTank ET-5855 Specifications

Epson EcoTank ET-5855 is a black A4 EcoTank multifunction inkjet for printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. Its PrecisionCore printhead carries 800 black nozzles. Each colour also has 800 nozzles, so the head differs from lower-speed EcoTank layouts. Four pigment inks feed the refillable tanks in black, cyan, yellow, and magenta. A 10.9 cm colour touchscreen sits on the panel, while scanning uses a CIS unit and a 50-page A4 automatic document feeder.

Maximum resolution reaches 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, and the smallest droplet is 3.8 picolitres. ISO print speed is 25 pages per minute in monochrome and 25 pages per minute in colour. Draft output rises to 32 pages per minute on plain paper. For two-sided A4 work, automatic duplex printing reaches 21 pages per minute in either mode, with first-page timing of 5.5 seconds for mono or 6 seconds for colour.

Scanning records 1,200 x 2,400 dpi optical resolution from the flatbed or feeder. From the ADF, scanning reaches 27.5 images per minute in black and 9 images per minute in colour. Double-sided ADF scanning runs at 11 images per minute in black and 6 in colour. Fax hardware works in black or colour at up to 33.6 kbps. Fax memory stores 550 pages, while 200 speed-dial entries remain available.

Paper handling uses three feeds, with two 250-sheet front trays and a 50-sheet rear path for special media. Printed sheets collect in a 125-sheet output tray. A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, Letter, Legal, C4, C6, DL, and Number 10 envelopes appear in the supported size list. Connections cover USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi Direct. Closed dimensions are 425 x 500 x 350 mm, and physical weight is about 17.8 kg.
