Epson EcoTank ET-5185 Specifications

Epson EcoTank ET-5185 is an A4 EcoTank Pro multifunction inkjet for printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. Printing comes from a PrecisionCore printhead. It carries 400 black nozzles and 128 nozzles for each colour. DURABrite ET pigment ink fills four refillable tanks in black, cyan, yellow, and magenta. The control panel uses a 6.1 cm colour touchscreen. Scanning relies on CIS technology, while PCL and PostScript emulations are also supported.

Maximum print resolution reaches 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, and the smallest droplet is 3.3 picolitres. ISO print speed runs at 13.8 pages per minute in black and 8.9 pages per minute in colour. Draft output rises to 37 pages per minute in black and 23 pages per minute in colour. Automatic A4 duplex printing reaches 6.9 pages per minute in black and 4.9 in colour.

Scanning records 1,200 x 2,400 dpi optical resolution from the flatbed or automatic document feeder. From the ADF, A4 originals scan at 6 images per minute in black and 5 images per minute in colour. Faxing runs at up to 33.6 kbps, with error correction. Fax memory stores up to 180 pages and keeps 100 speed-dial entries. Copy, scan, and fax work share the 35-page feeder above the flatbed glass.

Paper handling centres on one 250-sheet front tray and a 30-sheet output tray. The paper path accepts A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, Letter, Legal, C4, C6, DL, and Number 10 envelopes. Connections cover Hi-Speed USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi Direct, and wireless LAN. Mobile services include Epson iPrint, Email Print, Remote Print, Scan-to-Cloud, and Apple AirPrint.
