Epson EcoTank ET-3900 Specifications

Epson EcoTank ET-3900 is a colour EcoTank all-in-one for printing, scanning, and copying. Fax hardware is not fitted. Printing comes from four-colour drop-on-demand MicroPiezo inkjet technology and a PrecisionCore printhead. The refillable tanks use Epson 502 bottles for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow ink. A 2.4 inch colour LCD sits on the control panel, and scanning relies on a CIS colour flatbed.

Maximum print resolution reaches 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. The smallest ink droplet is 3.3 picolitres. ISO output runs at 18 ppm in black and 9 ppm in colour. For automatic two-sided ISO printing, speed reaches 7 ppm in black and 5 ppm in colour. From the glass, scanning records 1,200 x 2,400 dpi hardware resolution, with 2,400 dpi optical and 9,600 dpi interpolated output.

Paper feeds from a 250-sheet front cassette rather than a rear specialty tray. The cassette takes letter, legal, A4, A6, half letter, and executive sheets. Smaller photo paper at 3.5 x 5 inch and Number 10 envelopes also run through the same path. Borderless printing reaches 8.5 x 11 inch or letter size. Copying works up to A4, with 25 to 400 percent resizing and 1 to 99 stored copies.

A nearby computer can connect through Hi-Speed USB, and wired networking uses 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. Wireless printing runs through dual-band Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi Direct. Mobile printing and scanning use Epson Email Print, Epson Smart Panel, Epson Scan to Cloud, Epson iPrint, Apple AirPrint, and Mopria Print Service. With the trays closed, the body measures 375 x 347 x 187 mm. During printing, the depth extends to 506 mm, with physical weight about 5.7 kg and standalone copy printing near 15 W.
