Epson M205 Specifications
Epson M205 is a monochrome EcoTank multifunction inkjet for printing, scanning, and copying, with no fax hardware. Printing comes from on-demand piezoelectric inkjet technology. The head carries 360 black nozzles. The refillable ink system takes Epson T7741 black pigment ink, while the control panel carries a 2-line LCD. Scanning relies on a flatbed colour image scanner with a CIS sensor. An automatic document feeder sits above the glass.
Maximum print resolution reaches 1,440 x 720 dpi. Variable-sized droplet technology sets the smallest droplet at 3 pl. Black output runs at about 34 ppm in draft mode, while the ISO default test gives about 15 ipm. Copying also reaches about 34 cpm in draft mode. Standalone settings cover 25 to 400 percent reduction or enlargement, Auto Fit, standard copy mode, and up to 99 copies.
The scanner records at 1,200 x 2,400 dpi optical resolution. Its maximum scan area is 216 x 297 mm. Colour scanning keeps 48-bit internal and 24-bit external depth. Grayscale uses 16-bit internal and 8-bit external depth. For multipage originals, the ADF accepts A4, Letter, and Legal sheets on 64 to 95 g/m2 plain paper. Capacity is 30 A4 or Letter sheets, or 10 Legal sheets.
Paper input draws from one friction-feed tray with room for 100 sheets of A4 plain paper. Output capacity is 30 A4 sheets. The feed path also accepts A6, A5, B5, photo paper, media up to 8.5 x 44 inches, and #10, DL, or C6 envelopes. Connectivity is Hi-Speed USB 2.0 plus 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, not Ethernet. When stored, the body measures 435 x 377 x 226 mm and weighs 6.0 kg.
