Epson L1230 Specifications
Epson L1230 is an A4 EcoTank colour inkjet printer for printing only. Scan, copy, fax, and automatic document feeder hardware are not included. Printing uses an Epson Micro Piezo printhead with 180 black nozzles and 59 nozzles for each colour. The refillable tanks take four dye inks in black, cyan, yellow, and magenta. No display is listed on the body.
Maximum print resolution reaches 5,760 x 1,440 dpi. Variable-sized droplet technology places the smallest ink droplet at 3 pl. ISO speed runs at 10 pages per minute in monochrome and 5 pages per minute in colour. Draft output reaches 33 pages per minute in black and 15 pages per minute in colour. On Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper, a 10 x 15 cm photo takes about 27 seconds.
Paper feeds from one rear tray, so every sheet loads from the back of the printer. Standard input capacity reaches 100 sheets of plain paper. Finished pages collect in a 30-sheet output tray. Standard paper sizes include A4, A5, A6, B5, Letter, and Legal. Photo sizes include 10 x 15 cm, 13 x 18 cm, and 16:9 media. The rear tray also takes user-defined sizes and C6, DL, or Number 10 envelopes.
Manual duplex printing is listed, but automatic two-sided printing is not part of the hardware. Borderless printing works up to 10 x 15 cm photo size. A nearby computer connects through USB. Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, memory-card slot, and PictBridge support are not shown. The body measures 375 x 347 x 169 mm and weighs 2.8 kg. Power use is 12 watts while printing.
