Epson Expression Photo XP-8605 Specifications

The Epson Expression Photo XP-8605 is a white Expression Photo all-in-one inkjet for printing, scanning, and copying. Inside the casing, an Epson Micro Piezo print head carries 180 black nozzles and 180 nozzles for each colour. Six Claria Photo HD cartridges feed the ink system: black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan, and light magenta. A 10.9 cm colour touchscreen sits on the front panel.

Print output reaches a maximum resolution of 5,760 x 1,440 dpi, and the variable-sized droplet system can place ink down to 1.5 pl. ISO speed runs at 9.5 pages per minute in monochrome and 9 pages per minute in colour. On Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper, a 10 x 15 cm photo comes out in about 10 seconds, while scanning relies on a CIS unit with 1,200 x 4,800 dpi optical resolution.

Two paper trays divide the input supply, with room for 100 standard sheets and 20 photo sheets. Paper sizes run from A6 and small photo formats up to A4, B5, Letter, Legal, and 16:9 media. Number 10, DL, and C6 envelopes fit the feed path as well. Behind the main trays, a rear path takes specialty stock. Borderless output, A4 automatic duplexing, CD and DVD printing, and thicker media remain in the hardware.

Local cabling goes through USB, while wireless printing uses Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct rather than Ethernet. Security for wireless links covers WEP and WPA-PSK modes. Epson Connect, Apple AirPrint, and Scan-to-Cloud handle the named mobile and cloud services. Direct print sources include PictBridge, Wireless PictBridge, USB storage, and SD-family memory cards. With the body closed, the machine measures 349 x 340 x 142 mm and weighs 6.7 kg.
