Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5885 Specifications

Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5885 is an A4 colour EcoTank Pro multifunction inkjet for printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. Printing comes from a PrecisionCore print head with 800 black nozzles and 800 nozzles for each colour. DURABrite ET pigment ink fills the black, cyan, magenta, and yellow tanks. A 10.9 cm colour touchscreen handles direct control, while scanning relies on a colour CIS sensor.

Maximum print resolution reaches 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, with droplets down to 3.8 pl. ISO print speed runs at 25 pages per minute in mono and 25 pages per minute in colour. Draft output on 75 g/m² plain paper reaches 32 pages per minute for both modes. First-page output takes about 5.5 seconds. Automatic duplex printing reaches 21 A4 pages per minute in either mono or colour.

The flatbed and ADF scan at 2,400 x 1,200 dpi optical resolution. Double-sided ADF scanning is available. Single-sided A4 scans run at 27.5 ipm in black and 9 ipm in colour from the feeder, while flatbed scans take about 10 seconds. Faxing uses a 33.6 kbps modem, about three seconds per page, 180-page memory, 100 speed-dial entries, PC fax, fax preview, and broadcast fax.

Paper handling uses three sources. Two 250-sheet trays and a 50-sheet rear feed give 550 sheets maximum input. Printed pages collect in a 125-sheet output tray. The ADF takes 50 pages and supports two-sided copy, scan, and fax jobs on A4 plain paper. Connections include USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi Direct, USB host, NFC, and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless LAN. Closed dimensions are 425 x 500 x 350 mm, and weight is 17.8 kg.
