Epson EcoTank L575 Specifications
The Epson EcoTank L575 is ideal for small and home office environments. It provides a robust, cost-effective printing solution. The heart of the L575 is Epson’s EcoTank refillable ink system, which promises to deliver dramatically lower running costs than traditional cartridge-based printers.
A massive amount of ink is included upfront. It is more than just a nice bonus. When Epson says it’s ready for thousands of pages of work the minute its setup is complete, they aren’t kidding. The L575 package has enough black ink to print 11,000 pages or color ink to cover 8,500 sheets. No matter what you’re printing, the cost of replenishment under the EcoTank system is, in Epson’s words, “a fraction” of conventional cartridge setups. No more throwing out spent cartridges after just a few hundred pages for users with heavy print demands, and no more side-eyed skepticism from everyone else as they tally up the expense of all those small stacks of cartridges.
The EcoTank L575 is more than competent in print quality, serving up good-looking text at good speeds — enough to keep up with most small to medium offices. Speed isn’t dazzling, to be sure; it’s not going to shake any ground in a head-to-head with an office-centric laser, but it doesn’t matter. It produces output suitable for the predominantly text-focused jobs it takes with. This all-in-one printer easily handles printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. Text quality was excellent, with the L575 printing our test documents with sharp, clear text, even in small font sizes.
Connectivity is the L575’s strong suit—you get Ethernet for wired networking, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct. Mobile printing support is very comprehensive. Epson Connect is on board and supports the Epson iPrint app for iOS and Android devices. Support for the Epson Email Print is rounding up the list, so you can print to the L575 anywhere in the world by emailing it. Setting up these features is easy, so even if you haven’t done it before, you’ll find that the L575 quickly slots into your network. The user interface is driven by a color touchscreen that is basic but functional, so it’s easy to navigate and run through the various features. It’s versatile and cost-effective: Some features are missed, like the lack of duplex printing and the limited paper capacity. However, the L575 is perfect for anyone who wants a multifunction printer that can handle the rigor of a busy work environment despite the day-to-day demands without costing the earth.
