Epson EcoTank ET-2751 Specifications
The Epson EcoTank ET-2751 positions itself as a consumer-friendly all-in-one printer that eschews the traditional cartridge in favor of an economical ink tank solution that’s not only popular among printers but is highly effective, offering both the convenience that cartridge-based units are known for and the monetary savings that come with bulk ink systems. As a member of the EcoTank line, the ET-2751 is built for home users and small offices who need an efficient machine capable of anything you can throw at it yet doesn’t require frequent replenishments. Straight out of the box, it comes with a sink’s worth of ink, enough to print thousands of pages, then when the tanks do run dry, the cost to refill them is far less than a complete set of cartridges.
The printer’s print quality is one of the best features of the EcoTank, producing high-quality prints that are very vivid and razor-sharp. Its Micro Piezo print head allows it to produce very finely detailed prints with beautiful color reproduction, making it ideal for document printing and photo prints on glossy papers. It’s not the fastest, though, and while it might be more than adequate for most household needs, it’s unlikely to keep pace in a busier office. Opening the ET-2751 up, we found that print speeds of around 10.5 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome and 5ppm for color prints are probably about average for the printing it’s designed for, and it’s more than capable of printing out some quick snaps. An automatic document feeder would be a valuable addition to the ET-2751, accommodating its scan and copy functions and making it much more versatile for small, daily printing jobs.
It also scores well for connectivity, offering Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and a suite of Epson Connect features. The array makes the ET-2751 entirely modern and household-friendly, catering to the need to print from smartphones, tablets, and remote computers. Despite its compact size, it has a decent-sized color display for a printer and a clean, intuitive interface for easy operation.
Of course, any model like this has a higher up-front cost than the cheapest cartridge-based printers, but the ongoing operational savings will likely make cost-conscious users happy. For the environmentally aware or those seeking to reduce their printing expenses without killing the earth, the Epson EcoTank ET-2751 looks like the printer that can laudably save you from itself.
