Epson EcoTank ET-2871 Specifications
Epson EcoTank ET-2871 is an A4 colour ink-tank multifunction printer for printing, scanning, and copying, without fax hardware. Printing comes from an Epson Micro Piezo printhead with 180 black nozzles. Each colour channel has 59 nozzles. Four dye inks fill the refillable tanks in black, cyan, yellow, and magenta. Scanning relies on a CIS flatbed rather than an automatic document feeder.
Maximum print resolution reaches 5,760 x 1,440 dpi. ISO speed is 10 pages per minute in monochrome and 5 pages per minute in colour. On 75 g/m² plain paper, draft output rises to 33 pages per minute in black and 15 pages per minute in colour. First-page timing is 10 seconds for black or 16 seconds for colour, and a 10 x 15 cm photo takes 27 seconds.
The flatbed scanner records at 1,200 x 2,400 dpi optical resolution. A4 scan timing is around 11 seconds in black. Colour scanning takes around 28 seconds. Saved scan formats include BMP, JPEG, PICT, TIFF, multi-TIFF, PDF, and PNG. Copying works from the same glass, so originals stay limited to single sheets because this model has no automatic document feeder.
Paper handling stays with one rear tray and manual duplexing. Plain-paper input is 100 sheets, while output capacity is 30 sheets. Media sizes include A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, C6, DL, and #10 envelopes. Photo sizes run from 9 x 13 cm to 13 x 20 cm. Along with USB, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct, the closed body measures 375 x 347 x 179 mm and weighs 3.9 kg.
