Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500 Specifications

The WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500 printer by Epson is A3 monochrome multifunctional inkjet which includes such functions as printing, copying, scanning and the fax function which can be optional depending on regional configuration of the device. Printing uses PrecisionCore line-head Heat-Free technology in combination with DURABrite Pro pigment black ink. 7,230 nozzles of black color are included in the printhead. The maximum ink volume of droplets equals 3.8 pl. Colour touchscreen 10.1-inch provides job control directly.

The print resolution equals 600 x 2400 dpi. ISO simplex print speed equals 55 ipm (A4). Duplex A4 printing is provided with the same speed of 55 ipm. The speed of A3 simplex printing equals 32 ipm and A3 duplex printing equals 18 ipm. First page printing time equals 6.3 seconds. Print languages are ESC/P-R, ESC/Page and additionally there is PCL5, PCL6, PostScript 3 and PDF 1.7 emulated.

Scanning is available in two types: flatbed and ADF scanning with speed of ADF scanning equal to 70 ipm (simplex) and 140 ipm (duplex). The list of supported paper sizes goes up to A3. Standard equipment includes a paper cassette of 550 sheets and multipurpose tray of 150 sheets. In addition, there are 550 sheets in the output tray. Optional finishers include stapling, hole punching, booklet, folding and extra tray configurations.

Connectivity options include USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. Mobile printing is supported through Epson Connect, Apple AirPrint, Mopria and other business workflows. The suggested volume of prints per month is 8,000 – 60,000 pages, however the maximum duty cycle equals to 384,000 pages per month. Main unit dimensions equal to 555 x 620 x 963 mm. The weight equals to 98.2 kg, however accessory options change the size requirements for operation.
