Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500 Specifications

The WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500 from Epson is an A3 monochrome multifunctional inkjet printer that provides functions of printing, copying, and scanning, while the fax function can be optional in regional configuration versions. The printing process uses PrecisionCore line-head Heat-Free technology with DURABrite Pro pigment black ink. There are 7,230 black nozzles on the printhead. The maximum ink droplet volume equals 3.8 pl. 10.1-inch colour touchscreen provides local job control directly.

Print resolution is 600 x 2400 dpi. ISO simplex print speed amounts to 55 ipm for A4. Duplex A4 printing is provided with the same speed of 55 ipm. The A3 simplex printing speed is 32 ipm, while A3 duplex printing equals 18 ipm. The first-page printing time equals 6.3 seconds. Printer language support includes ESC/P-R and ESC/Page; also, there is PCL5, PCL6, PostScript 3, and PDF 1.7 emulation.

Scanning is possible in flatbed and ADF scanning modes, with the speed for ADF scanning that makes 70 ipm for simplex and 140 ipm for duplex. Paper sizes supported up to A3. The standard equipment consists of a 550-sheet paper cassette and a 150-sheet multipurpose tray. There are 550 sheets in the output tray, while optional finishers support stapling, hole punching, booklet, folding, and additional tray configurations.

The network connectivity of the printer involves USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct. Mobile printing supports Epson Connect, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, and other business workflows.
