Epson Stylus Photo RX680 Specifications

The six-color ink system used in the Epson Stylus Photo RX680 printer is impressive: with high-resolution printing of all images, it is delivered much like life. For this reason alone (the stain-free image brings to mind a flower in full bloom), it has attractive quality pictures that are more vibrant and detailed than when you view them digitally. Moreover, the RX680 prints a 10×15 cm photo in less than a minute. That’s okay for a home consumer with high-speed demands but no ability or motivation to trade off between print quality and page turnover.

RX680 has yet another asset – a user-friendly design. It features a large and adjustable LCD, making the selection and editing process easy and lenient. Nevertheless, in the realm of text documents, RX680 proves less competitive. It will suffice for casual users, but those who print extensively–and in text–will likely need to improve both speed and sharpness. Because the Printer’s text output speed and sharpness are sufficient for those who print sparingly and not overly voluminously, it may be outpaced by other simple, low-cost models.

Compared to newer models, the RX680’s technology may need to be updated. And, of course, as for more antiquated technology, which can no longer do what you want – with newer printers offering increased connectivity options like wireless printing, they will be a better choice as their high quality at low prices makes them more economical in terms of ink. But for photographers who care most about high resolution and may not require the latest bells and whistles, the RX680 still works fine. In short, the RX680 is an Epson Stylus Photo that prints photos exceptionally well and has helpful editing tools, but it’s more a photo printer than a proper word-processing device. It is also less efficient at saving ink and costs more than later machines in terms of ink use.
