The Epson Stylus CX6000 is a compact all-in-one printer that effectively combines functionality with simplicity to create an especially suitable tool for home businesses or small offices. Despite its modest footprint, it is also a scanner and copier–so it will always be in people’s way at home while you put on the coffee pot in the morning before leaving. For this class, the print speed is good enough -27 pages per minute for black and white printing, which is adequate for everyday needs, but only marginally. Notwithstanding the time it has left behind, and with a maximum resolution of 5760 x 1440dpi in its printer data stream – you can still print out pretty pictures as well as crisp text documents, preserving the quality of the original so that each word pops off the page like a fresh box watercolor.

Smudge-fade and water-resistant, the DURABrite Ultra pigment inks are a good choice for important documents and precious photo prints. Granted, it won’t be as sharp as newer models in the same range, but text output is crisp, and graphics render with fair distinction. Nevertheless, users may find the color accuracy and subtle detailing to be improved if their requirements drift towards high-end professional photo printing.
The Epson Stylus CX6000 is designed ergonomically. It has an intuitive control panel with user-friendly interfaces. Installation and setup are an absolute breeze for people who know nothing about computers. But remember that the CX6000 is not modern in its connectivity: today’s world is increasingly wireless and networked, yet this machine has no Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections, which could limit where you can put it. If your needs are simple and require no advanced features or connectivity, the CX6000 is still a reliable all-in-one printer. Good economy on ink and long-lasting quality make it a good deal if the printer’s limitations suit your needs.
