Epson PictureMate PM-525 Specifications
The PM-525 is a compact PictureMate colour photo printer, not an all-in-one machine with scanning, copying, or fax hardware. Printing comes from four-colour CMYK drop-on-demand MicroPiezo inkjet technology. The printhead has 720 nozzles in total, arranged as 180 nozzles for each colour. Epson T376020-AL ink supplies the cartridge system, while waste ink maintenance uses the replaceable C13T295100 maintenance box inside the printer body.
Photo output reaches 5,760 x 1,440 dpi through variable-sized droplet technology, with a minimum 2-picoliter ink droplet. On Premium Photo Paper Glossy, a 10 x 15 cm borderless photo can print in as fast as 36 seconds in Default Mode. The printer also handles 13 x 18 cm borderless photos. For two-sided photo sheets, double-sided printing remains manual and needs page turning by hand.
Paper input comes through the rear feed, which holds 50 sheets of A5 plain paper or 20 sheets of Premium Photo Paper Glossy. Photo sizes include 9 x 13 cm, 10 x 15 cm, and 13 x 18 cm borderless media. The same feed also takes A5, A6, plain paper, Epson glossy photo papers, Number 10 envelopes, C6 envelopes, and DL envelopes.
A 2.7-inch colour LCD lets the unit preview, select, crop, rotate, enlarge, and correct photos before printing. PC-free printing works from SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards, with adapters used for listed card variants. Computer connection uses Hi-Speed USB, while external USB and PictBridge devices use a separate Hi-Speed USB path. Wireless printing runs through 802.11 b/g/n and Wi-Fi Direct. Closed dimensions are 26.5 x 19.6 x 13.7 cm, and weight is 2.3 kg.
