Epson L3231 Specifications
The Epson L3231 is an EcoTank A4 multifunction inkjet for printing, scanning, and copying, with no fax hardware in the listed configuration. Printing comes from an Epson Micro Piezo head with 180 black nozzles and 59 nozzles for each colour. Four refillable tanks use Epson 103 dye ink in black, cyan, yellow, and magenta. Above the paper path, a CIS flatbed scanner handles originals, while the control panel keeps operation button-based.
Maximum print resolution reaches 5,760 x 1,440 dpi. Variable-sized droplet technology brings the minimum droplet size to 3 pl. ISO speed runs at 10 ppm in monochrome and 5 ppm in colour. Plain-paper draft output reaches 33 ppm black and 15 ppm colour. For photo output, a 10 x 15 cm print takes about 27 seconds on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper.
Scanning records 600 x 1,200 dpi optical detail from the flatbed, and A4 scans at 200 dpi take about 11 seconds in black or 32 seconds in colour. Paper enters through one rear tray with a 100-sheet standard capacity, then finished pages collect in a 30-sheet output tray. Two-sided output relies on manual duplexing, while borderless printing reaches up to 10 x 15 cm.
Paper sizes cover A4, A5, A6, B5, Letter, Legal, 13 x 18 cm, 10 x 15 cm, 16:9 wide paper, custom sizes, and C6, DL, or number 10 envelopes. Media weights run from 64 to 300 g/m².
