Epson L1216 Specifications
Epson L1216 is an A4 EcoTank colour inkjet printer for printing only, so scanning, copying, and faxing are not part of its hardware. Printing works through an on-demand piezoelectric inkjet system with 180 black nozzles and 59 nozzles for each colour. The refillable tank system uses 003 ink bottles in black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. No LCD screen is built into the body.
Maximum print resolution reaches 5,760 x 1,440 dpi. Epson variable-sized droplet technology brings the minimum droplet size down to 3 pl. ISO simplex speed is up to 10 ipm in black and 5 ipm in colour. On A4 plain paper, draft output rises to 33 ppm in black and 15 ppm in colour. First-page timing is about 10 seconds for black and 16 seconds for colour.
Paper feeds from a single rear tray rather than a cassette, holding up to 100 sheets of 80 g/m² plain paper or 20 sheets of Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper. Standard sheet sizes include Legal, Indian-Legal, Letter, A4, 16K, B5, A5, B6, A6, and Hagaki. Photo paper sizes include 5 x 7 inches, 5 x 8 inches, and 4 x 6 inches. Envelope handling is limited to #10, DL, and C6.
Borderless printing works through custom settings on suitable media, although plain paper keeps standard margins. A nearby computer connects through USB 2.0 only. Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Ethernet are not listed for the interface. The body measures 375 x 347 x 169 mm and weighs 2.8 kg. Power use is 12 watts during operation, 3 watts in ready mode, 0.4 watt in sleep mode, and 0.2 watt when off.
