Epson FX-2190 Specifications
The Epson FX-2190 dot matrix printer is designed for coarse needs, given its ruggedness and dependability. With robust construction and easy access, it is ideal for companies involved in repetitive tasks, such as warehouses or banks. This unit handles forms up to 7 parts thick and 16.5 inches wide- thanks to a wide carriage- making it adaptive to different document sizes. Besides, its ribbon lasts long, chugging along at 12 million characters before needing its following sample. That’s why it is cost-effective and lighter on maintenance compared to its competitors.
As for performance, the FX-2190 is fast. It types up to 680 characters per second (cps) in draft mode. That’s quite speedy for a dot matrix. With this speed, high-volume tasks are completed quickly, increasing productivity. But the noise level is high compared to inkjet or laser printers, a common trade-off to impact printers. On the downside, its print quality is such: fit for invoices and multi-part forms, but not up to the fine detail of intricate graphics or sharp fonts with desktop publishing.
As for connectivity, the FX-2190 takes a forthright approach. Coming equipped with parallel and USB interfaces, there’s a place for it in almost any workplace. But we find the need for more modern connections to be a drag. It still needs wireless or Ethernet networking options, which could make some workplaces where networked devices work best hesitant to take it in. Overall, however, the FX-2190’s utility and low cost of use make it quite suitable.
All in all, the Epson FX-2190 is a durable and reliable dot-matrix printer. It’s excellent for big jobs yet requires no fuss in upkeep. This product makes a good marketing offer if you regard it in these terms.
