Epson EcoTank ET-2865 Specifications
Epson EcoTank ET-2865 is an A4 colour EcoTank multifunction printer for printing, scanning, and copying. Fax hardware is not built into this model. Printing comes from an Epson Micro Piezo printhead with 180 black nozzles. Each colour channel uses 59 nozzles. The refillable tanks take 65 ml dye bottles for black, cyan, yellow, and magenta. Originals are scanned on a flatbed contact image sensor, with no automatic document feeder above the glass.
Print resolution reaches 5,760 x 1,440 dpi. ISO speed is 10 ppm for monochrome pages and 5 ppm for colour pages. On 75 g/m² plain paper, draft printing rises to 33 ppm in black and 15 ppm in colour. The first page comes out in 10 seconds for black or 16 seconds for colour. A 10 x 15 cm print on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper takes 27 seconds.
The CIS flatbed scans at 1,200 x 2,400 dpi optical resolution. An A4 black scan takes about 11 seconds. Colour A4 scanning takes about 28 seconds. Scan files can be saved as BMP, JPEG, PICT, TIFF, multi-TIFF, PDF, or PNG. Copying uses the same glass, so each original must be placed on the flatbed separately.
Paper feeds from one rear tray. Plain-paper input is 100 sheets, and the output area holds 30 sheets. Two-sided printing is manual because automatic duplexing is not fitted. Paper sizes cover A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, C6, DL, and #10 envelopes. Photo sizes run from 9 x 13 cm to 13 x 20 cm. A nearby computer can connect through USB. Wireless printing runs through Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct. With the body closed, the printer measures 375 x 347 x 179 mm and weighs 3.9 kg.
