Epson’s Expression Photo XP-950 Small-in-One Printer takes A4-sized photo printers to a whole new level–it can print on paper up to A3, an uncommon feature found in office or studio printers not explicitly designed for photos. Small, the XP-950 is one of the most compact A3-capable printers. Its six-color Claria Photo HD ink system, featuring light cyan and light magenta, not only effectively produces photographs with rich colors and excellent gradations but also enables it–in conjunction with accurate skin tones–to satisfy photography aficionados. It keeps this high printing quality over many kinds of paper, glossy, matte, and even some with a texture that would pass for fine art.
The XP-950 is relatively user-friendly. It has a 3.5-inch color LCD touchscreen that makes navigation more accessible and more intuitive. As you start to get the hang of it, the printing pop-up panel will disappear automatically. Next up is duplex printing, but this is confined to standard A4.
